Frequently asked questions
Who actually runs the tours?
We are a booking agent. Each tour is operated by an independent Icelandic tour operator, and its name is shown on every tour page. The operator runs the tour, provides the guides and vehicles, and decides on safety and cancellation terms. We take care of your online booking and help you reach the operator.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Cancellations, changes and refunds are handled by the operator running your tour, and their policy applies. You will find it on the tour page and in your booking confirmation, together with the operator's phone number, email and contact page where we have them. Please contact the operator directly with your booking reference. If you can't find their details, write to us and we will help you reach them.
What if the Northern Lights don't show up?
Sightings are never guaranteed, even with the best guides and forecasts. Many operators offer a free retry on another night if no lights are seen, but the terms differ by tour, so check the tour page. If the operator cancels a tour because of weather or safety, they will offer you a new date or a refund according to their policy; you'll usually hear from them on the afternoon of departure.
Is my payment safe?
Payments are handled by the Bókun booking platform over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your card details.
How will I receive my tickets?
A confirmation and mobile voucher are emailed to you straight after booking. You can show it on your phone; no printing needed.
Do you offer hotel pick-up?
Many tours include pick-up from Reykjavík hotels and bus stops. Pick-up details are listed on each tour page and in your voucher.
